早於2018年初，Emojipedia 公佈了 157 個將於今年大約 8月開始推出的全新 Emoji。期待之際，Apple 近日則向 Unicode 技術委員會提議：新增 13 個 Emoji 去代表不同的傷殘人士。在即將推出的 157 個新 Emoji 當中，不少款式都設有多種膚色和髮型的選項，Apple 認為 Emoji 應該涵蓋傷殘人士在內，去表達更多元的訊息。

Apple has proposed 13 new emojis that aim to better represent people with disabilities. In a letter to the Unicode Consortium, the organization responsible for managing any new emojis, the Cupertino, California-based tech giant introduces emojis that depict people who suffer from blind and low vision, deaf and hard of hearing, physical motor disabilities or hidden disabilities like autism and PTSD.  These disabilities are represented through emojis featuring people in wheelchairs (both of the standard and motorized variety), prosthetic arms and legs, service dogs, people walking with a white cane, people pointing to their ears (to represent deafness) and hearing aids.  To develop this emojis, Apple worked with a number of organizations that represent people with disabilities, including the American Council of the Blind, Cerebral Palsy Foundation and National Association for the Deaf.

在落實推出 Unicode Emoji 11.0 之後，Emojipedia 這個雲集了各種手機軟體及網絡平台的表情符號網絡大典根據了 Apple 的設計風格預先製作了這 157 個 Emoji 的樣板，最快預定會在 2018 年 8 月的手機更新時推出。

動物類別當中，除了「孔雀開屏」竟然有神獸級別的「草泥馬」（羊駝）出現！

這一代Emoji加入不少中華文化元素，比如農曆新年不可或缺的「利是封」！(可是,封上的是什麼生肖啊!?)

以後提同事買東西記得拿單據,只需一按這個emoji就好了!

就在大家翹首以待這 157 個 Emoji 於 8月降臨至我們的手機軟體時，日前，Apple 就向 Unicode 技術委員會提議多加 13 款 Emoji，包括：導盲犬、撐柺杖的人、手語、助聽器、輪椅及義肢等。

Apple 認為，現時的 Emoji 雖然已經提供很廣闊及多元的選擇，不過似乎未有能夠代表到傷殘人士的訊息，所以特別跟美國盲人協會（American Council of the Blind）、腦痲痺基金會（the Cerebral Palsy Foundation）及全國聾人協會（National Association of the Deaf）合作，製作這一系列代表多種傷殘情況的 Emoji，希望可以更清晰傳達傷殘人士的訊息。
