AM1430 全台 DJ 攜手燃亮希望，共創無懼癌症的未來

 【2025年11月17日 安省多倫多訊】瑪嘉烈公主癌症中心（Princess Margaret Cancer Centre）一直為癌症診斷、研究與卓越護理開創新路，燃亮希望。從發現可應用於骨髓移植的幹細胞，到免疫療法的開創性突破，瑪嘉烈公主癌症中心的科研成果持續改寫人們對癌症的認知、預防、診斷與治療方式。

儘管癌症研究已跨越多項重大里程碑，其發病率仍以驚人的速度攀升，尤以年輕一族最為明顯。預計到2050年，全球新增癌症病例將上升77%，其中千禧世代的發病率升幅最快。這一上升趨勢凸顯了瑪嘉烈公主癌症中心持續推動研究與創新的迫切性。

有鑒於此，瑪嘉烈公主癌症基金會（The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation，簡稱PMCF）於今年一月正式啟動「共燃希望」（Carry the Fire）行動，旨在凝聚加拿大人的力量，燃點希望之光，邁向無懼癌症的未來。該行動象徵著眾志成城的關愛力量如何推動科研發現與護理進展，從而提升治療效果，惠及患者及其家人。

為進一步推動這一使命，瑪嘉烈公主癌症基金會將與加拿大中文電台合作，於2025年12月4日舉行電台籌款活動，在華人社區內籌募經費並提升公眾對癌症的關注。當天，深受聽眾喜愛的DJ們將全力支持瑪嘉烈公主癌症中心，從早到晚接力「共燃希望」，分享患者面對挑戰、接受創新治療的動人故事，傳遞希望。

AM1430 DJs Light the Way Forward to Carry the Fire for a Future Free from Cancer

Toronto, ON – November 17, 2025 – The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre has been illuminating new paths forward in cancer diagnostics, research and exceptional care. From the discovery of stem cells for bone marrow transplants to pioneering advancements in immunotherapy, groundbreaking work at The Princess Margaret continues to transform the way cancer is understood, prevented, diagnosed, and treated.

Yet despite these milestones, cancer continues to rise at an alarming rate—particularly among younger generations. By 2050, new cancer cases are projected to increase by 77% worldwide, with millennials experiencing the fastest rise in cancer rates. The rising number of cancer cases underscores the urgency of continued research and innovation at The Princess Margaret.

Launched in January, Carry The Fire is The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation’s (PMCF) movement to unite Canadians and spark hope for a future free from the fear of cancer. It symbolizes how compassion and collective action fuel research, discovery, and care that transform patient outcomes and their loved ones' lives.

To carry out this mission, PMCF is partnering with Fairchild Radio AM1430 for the annual Chinese Radiothon on December 4, 2025—a full day dedicated to raising funds and awareness within the Chinese community. Throughout the day, beloved Fairchild Radio DJs—from morning to evening shows—will Carry The Fire together, sharing powerful stories of courage, innovation, and hope all in support of Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

These DJs are also featured prominently in Carry The Fire campaign communications now running across the market, showing their continued commitment to the cause—not just on Radiothon Day, but every day. Their passion and influence embody how The Princess Margaret and its supporters are lighting the way forward through discovery, compassion, and hope for all those touched by cancer.
